Memories

The YMCA have had a memories team, the team are made up of 3 staff members and a group of community volunteers.

Since January 2017 the team have been preserving the archive by digitising photos and records and preparing these items to travel to their new home at the Glamorgan Archives. The team have also been speaking to community members to hear stories of how the community has engaged with the building since it opened in 1910.

Some of these stories have been included in the feature video and some of the stories were made into animations by children living in Pontypridd. Browse our memories here:
